Sarah Case-Herron joined the Firm as a Principal in our Government Relations Practice Group in 2025. Sarah brings with her over a decade of experience at all levels of government, having worked in policy, legislative affairs, and public affairs across multiple agencies.

Most recently, Sarah served as the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Maryland Department of Health. In that role, she was the primary liaison between the Department and the Maryland General Assembly. Before coming to work at the Department, she developed health care experience at the federal Health Resources & Services Administration, where she served as the Legislative Analyst focused on health workforce issues. Prior to working at HRSA, Sarah led the Office of Legislative Affairs at the District of Columbia Department of Employment Services, overseeing agency preparation for numerous hearings before the Council of the District of Columbia on agency performance, budget, and the impacts of proposed legislation. Sarah also spent over six years at the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency, working her way up from Policy Analyst to the Policy and Legislative Affairs Bureau Chief.

Sarah earned a Juris Doctorate from the William and Mary School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. She is admitted to practice law in both the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia, where she maintains associate status.
