Rylie Shewbridge is a government relations professional with more than a decade of experience in legislative affairs, public policy, and strategic advocacy. She represents clients before federal, state, and local governments, develops legislative and regulatory strategies, and builds bipartisan relationships with elected officials, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
Prior to joining Funk & Bolton, Rylie served as Director of Government Relations at Fello, Inc., where she advised executive leadership on legislative, regulatory, and political matters and led advocacy efforts focused on disability services, healthcare, behavioral health, housing, and accessibility.
Previously, Rylie managed government affairs across the Northeast for KinderCare Learning Companies and worked in government relations consulting, representing clients on legislative, budget, procurement, and policy matters. She began her career in the Maryland General Assembly, serving as Legislative Director to Senator William C. Smith, Jr., Chairman of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee.
Rylie holds a Master of Public Administration and Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution from Salisbury University, where she graduated cum laude. She was named a Leading Women Under 40 by The Daily Record and a Rising Star by the Living Classrooms Foundation.
