Public Affairs
Ben is a public affairs professional with extensive background and experience in the political arena and policy making spaces. Within our Public Affairs group, Ben crafts creative and effective policy solutions for a wide range of clients. He builds media campaigns that convert complicated issues into cogent and persuasive messaging for policy makers and their constituents. His strengths also include campaign management, strategic planning and implementation, and stakeholder engagement. Ben always looks for ways to support ongoing progress for his clients and their communities. He forms durable and productive coalitions by discovering areas of overlapping interest and zeroing in on ways to leverage those connections.
Previously, Ben served as Executive Director of the Maryland Democratic Party, and his past political work includes managing a high-profile, competitive County Executive re-election campaign to victory, as well as providing services for over two dozen elected officials at state and municipal levels. His record of successful advocacy includes land use and smart growth, public health, government reform, and organized labor interests.
Ben is both a proud resident of Baltimore City and a lifelong lover of the rural spaces where he grew up. When he’s not on the clock, you can find him gardening, at the gym, or looking for a good spot to chase his dream of writing the Great American Novel.
