Creditors’ Rights, Bankruptcy and Financial Transactions
Allyson is an associate among multiple transactional practice groups, including our Insurance Regulation and Business and Creditors’ Rights, Bankruptcy and Financial Transactions groups. Allyson also has a background in commercial finance and intends to grow a practice at Funk & Bolton in commercial lending for local financial institutions.
Before joining Funk & Bolton, Allyson practiced as a Capital Markets associate in a neighboring Baltimore law firm, where she gained a wealth of knowledge in the Equipment Finance sector, drafting complex multimillion dollar lease and loan structures for various renowned financial institutions. She then transitioned to an associate role at a law firm in Millersville, where she acted as outside counsel for a local county bank, often drafting commercial real estate loan transactions and advising the bank on various other matters such as delinquent accounts, residential loan modifications, subordination agreements, and more.
Allyson has also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Julie R. Rubin, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge, as well as to the Honorable Lawrence F. Kreis, Jr., Harford County Circuit Court Judge. She completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Mary Pat Thynge, Chief Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court in the District of Delaware, as well as additional internships and clerkships while attaining her law degree.
