Michael P. Cunningham

Michael P. Cunningham is a member in the Baltimore office of Funk & Bolton, P.A. Mr. Cunningham's practice primarily involves complex civil litigation, including life, health, and disability claims and ERISA matters.

Mr. Cunningham has extensive experience defending a broad range of cases before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels, including the representation of insurers in matters involving life insurance, annuities, disability insurance, health plans, stop loss insurance, viatical settlements, fraud, and other contract, tort, and statutory claims. Mr. Cunningham has argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland and participated in jury trials and arbitration in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Cunningham graduated first in his law school class from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He served as a Comments Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review (1998-1999). Mr. Cunningham is a member of the Heuisler Honor Society and received awards for the highest marks in Torts I & II, Civil Procedure I, LARW I, Property, Evidence, Business Organizations, Copyrights & the Arts, Domestic Relations, Federal Income Tax, and the Civil Clinic.

Mr. Cunningham is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Bar Association of the District of Columbia, and the Defense Research Institute.
